*All The Books I Read In 2018* Part Two / Books

The Little Paris Book Shop by Nina George
This book gave me a strange vibe whilst reading it. I'm currently reading another book with a similar character to The Little Paris Book Shop and I'm getting that strange feeling again.
It's well written and you could say SO well written that the character exudes emotion as well as conveying thoughts and feelings.
Not for me but that's not to say it won't be enjoyed by others.

A Night To Remember by Walter Lord
I found this very helpful during a project of mine. The book is made up of accounts of what happened on the night the Titanic sunk. The authour pieced together witness statements, that he sourced himself, to create the nearest source to how the scene played out. To my understanding, Walter Lord wrote this a little while after the disaster and so this means its possible that this is the closest we will ever get to figure out what actually occurred.
It's a really interesting read. Recommended to anyone interested in the Titanic disaster.

Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland
I wasn't overly keen on this book. There were funny moments but the overall story didn't tickle my fancy. I feel that perhaps because I'm not a mum, I couldn't connect with this mother and daughter story- not in the way that I could enjoy Happy Mum Happy Baby, which was learning about the authors' specific journey of motherhood.

A Family Recipe by Veronica Henry
I wrote a blog post for this book. I recommended this to my mum but actually, I've discovered she's a corner-of-page folder so that didn't happen.
Highly recommended.

Before Her Eyes by Jack Jorden
See my previous reviews of this story.

Life's A Beach by Chloe Coles
This book is aimed at young adults and is clear from the writing. Although it wasn't my taste, I could see it as hugely popular for young adult readers.
Also, are book festivals a thing? I would love to go to one, if so!

You Only Live Once by Jess Vallance
I had read the first part of this book and found it very funny. I could laugh with Gracie as an older female and remind myself of the embarrassments of my school years (not that I needed to remind myself). However, after the initial life-changing epiphany she has, I wasn't 100% enjoying reading the rest of her journey. From this point onwards the story felt very young, I'd say the book is aimed at young adults.

Humorous- genuinely made me chuckle, but overall not for me.

Happy Mum Happy Baby by Giovanna Fletcher
I enjoyed this book SO much!
I had read a series of books that I was not connecting to, in my dramatic state of mind I was worried I would never find another book I liked again. I genuinely loved reading this book, in fact, I loved it so much that I have a whole lot more to say. More later on.
I enjoyed learning about what women go through when becoming a mum. It's something that takes you from a girl writing at her computer and singing in her bedroom to the mum ready with the hugs and love and admiration for another human being.

You're The One That I Want by Giovanna Fletcher
Following on from reading Giovanna's Non-fiction book, I read this book from off of my bucket list. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I got back the feeling of desperately wanting to know what happens in a story. It was nice to read the loving story which gave me warmth and bubbles of joy in my stomach.
Highly recommended- especially for those who want to feel that loving feeling and fall just a little bit in love with a character.

(I feel like I have more to say on this book, but much more and it would be spoilt. Just know that I'm transferring good/excited energy through the computer screen)
