Catch Up & The Greatest Showman / Blogmas Day Sixteen
The Greatest Showman is currently on the TV and I'm experiencing that get up and dance energy. It feels about the right time to be watching it again as the first time I saw it was Boxing day, last year. The Christmas atmosphere and warm feeling, you know?
Oh, the challenge of not singing and dancing in a room with other people.
Talking of dancing, I had Major goosebumps during the Strictly Final. I guess this means Christmas is soon!
So this week has been a busy one and I've gradually felt more and more festive. Interviews, research and I had the joy of learning a technique with a heat press! We're nearing Christmas now and so I'm working hard whilst making sure Christmas day is all set.
The theme of today being Tree, I decided to take a photo of my lovely little tree on my very busy work table. I decorated this at the start of the week. All the while decorating the main tree, I quietly kept aside some of my favourite small decorations; and a couple bigger ones that I couldn't leave: enter sparkly baubles.
Although this tree is somewhat organised with similar decorations, I enjoy that our Christmas tree is full of mismatched ornaments that each have a story behind them. I could probably tell you a little something about most of them.
This year we have little chocolate Santas and Snowmen on the tree. When I asked my mum if it was ok to take one (not sure why, I am an adult- or "adult") she said I had to wait until Christmas. Can you believe that? I have since nearly got one a couple of times but the guilt creeps in and I can't do it.
Every time I thought about the theme of today, I would get a certain song in my head. It's an improvisation from an old Vlogmas:
"My Christmas tree, my Christmas tree is standing right behind me. It's big and green and also green and......."
Texas accent: "and the lights on it are shiny!"
- Vlogmas Day 17 - Me and Mrs F Sensational Improvisation - Tom and Giovanna Fletcher on Youtube.
It's been in my head so much that I have to get it out somehow. I've been listening to this throughout the year, to be honest. It makes me smile every time! Another Vlogmas of theirs I like is Vlogmas (Day 18) - Dramatic Reading With Tom- a Vlogmas by Giovanna.
Thank you very much for reading and Merry December 16th!
Love Buddy Summer xx
Ps: I'm up to the bit in The Greatest Showman with Rewrite The Stars. Cannot tell you how much I want to start singing.
(Final tidbit, I promise: To see my daily photos from the Christmas challenge, have a little look at my Instagram page.)
