Sunshine, July and Daily Tangents #1 Balloons

If you are a regular reader of this here blog then you may remember when I took part in Carrie Hope Fletchers May Myself and I blog project on the 3rd of May. I felt major FOMO when I couldn't devote my time to this blog post every day in May Idea, therefore I decided to do my own.
I've come up with thirty-one random words and each one will be my prompt for the corresponding date; I will use that word as a theme for my blog posts throughout the month of July.

This is something I am very excited about as I've never done anything like this before and I think/ hope it will be really fun. I attempted Blogmas last year but frankly, that was a stressful challenge that couldn't have been done without dropping an important project. This, however, is a way for me to be creative and pour more creativity into my blog.

So, my words of July are:

If anyone would like to get involved with pictures on Instagram or poems or artwork, I would love to know. This project is about getting creative with no pressure and so any interpretation of these words is wonderful.

So, let's begin. Hello and welcome to the first day of July. Today has been a getting stuff done kind of day. I've felt the tidying bug and got to work on tidying the house. I hoovered after a weekend of carpet crafts, cleaned my windows, washed and wiped up whilst listening to the Beatles and tidied away my piles of things.

Full disclosure, I am a pile maker- especially during creative projects when I just don't find the time to put bits and bobs away. The piles vary of items that belong in separate places- either a craft draw or in a scrapbook.

These piles can grow over a short space of time and cause me to feel crowded as if I was in a room full of balloons. These balloons are varied in colour and beautiful in their clusters but they swell (if actual balloons can swell). Even just sitting to one side of the room they have the ability to grow bigger and bigger until one day I have a day like today when I'm ready to pop them- or perhaps shrink them down a bit. I managed to tidy away two piles of Balloons this afternoon and I feel better for it.

Does anyone else find that joy of when you've tidied and you can walk in a space that you couldn't before?

There's something about organising and getting things done that I crave. I crave to see a result and to have something to show for my time. My space has a way to go until I see a huge improvement and there are multiple things that will come before these tasks but for now, a little walkway on my little rug is sufficient.

Thank you very much for reading day 1 of my little project. I will be back tomorrow for day 2: Lime.

Love,

Buddy Summer xx
