Dinosaur At Christmas /Blogmas Day Eight & Nine
December 8th- ZoellaPhotoaDay theme: Bake
Again- wasn't going to post for yesterdays photo challenge but kinda wanna talk about it. You know?
The theme for yesterday was bake. I went to a Christmas market during the day and was on the hunt for the perfect photo opportunities, I got to the end of the day with zero. It was raining an awful lot on my walk around and the inspiration didn't arise.
What did I do? I baked some biscuits!
When searching for christmassy cookie-cutters (because, you know, festive) I discovered a tree and a star. Perfect! And then I found a whole bunch of other shapes but the one that I was drawn to was the dinosaur. I went back to it after cutting a few traditional shapes, I'm not always one for being conventional, I like to stray and, actually, I legitimately like dinosaurs!
It's one of those interests that you have but your friends and family are maybe not fully aware of the extent of your interest. They do scare me quite a bit, not going to lie, but I find them very interesting. Isn't it so cool that once upon a time there were once these towering
creatures roaming around?
In the end, I got rather carried away and made a snowman too. The chocolate pieces I placed on top of the biscuits are Boost Bites (not sponsored), I placed them on top of a selection of biscuits in the oven for a minute. They taste gorgeous and the smell that swims around the kitchen is so good! I wish you could smell them through the screen. As I said on my Instagram:
"If you focus really hard and believe with all your might, you will be able to smell these gorgeous biscuits"
At the end of my day, I watched my first Christmas film of the year- well, December. It was The Holiday! I love that film and I'm beginning to feel all Christmassy. As a matter of fact............
December 9th- (aka today)
.........Only went and decorated the Christmas tree today! Pictures soon, probably on the Tree theme day.
I had the Christmas tunes on, got the old decks out and it I'm starting to feel festive. The lead up to Christmas is the best part, I think.
